How to post a clear listing that gets approved fast
Step by step, from the listing type to photos and details, so your listing is approved quickly and reaches the right people.
A clear listing saves you time and pointless calls, and finds your pet the right people. Posting on BesBes takes about a minute and a half. These steps help you get it right first time.
Step one: choose the type
Tap Add and pick a type:
- Sale: you're offering your pet at a price. Sale listings are checked automatically and usually go live within seconds; if something needs a closer look, the BesBes team checks it first, usually within a few hours.
- Adoption: you're looking for a new home, free. It goes live straight away and the team reviews it afterwards.
- Stud or Wanted: you're looking for a suitable mate for your pet, or for a particular animal.
Adoption and wanted listings are unlimited. Sale listings are limited to 3 in 30 days.
Step two: photos
- Add up to 8 photos. The first one is the cover.
- Shoot in daylight, at your pet's eye level, against a plain background.
- Include the face, the whole body, and one of your pet playing or moving.
- Photograph the animal itself. Photos copied from the internet, or blurry ones, get a listing rejected.
- If there's a vaccination card or other papers, photograph those too.
Step three: details
- Breed: not sure? Pick Baladi or Mixed. Being honest here protects you later.
- Age: in months or as a birth date. Cats and dogs must be at least 8 weeks old to be listed for sale or adoption. See why 8 weeks?
- Vaccines and papers: say what's true: vaccinated, partly, or not. See pet papers explained.
- Description: temperament, food, how it gets on with children and other pets, and why you're selling or rehoming.
- Price: if it's far from the usual price for the breed, you'll see a warning so you can double-check it.
Dog listings
- Every dog aged 3 months or more needs a licence number from the Veterinary Directorate under Law 29/2023. Conditional breeds need one at any age.
- Selling a dog needs a phone number verified on WhatsApp.
- Banned breeds (Fila Brasileiro, Boerboel, Presa Canario) can't be listed at all.
Not licensed yet? See how to license your dog.
Location and privacy
- We show only the area, unless you choose to show your exact location.
- Your number is never shown to guests. People have to sign in first, then reach you on WhatsApp.
If your listing is rejected
You'll find the reason under My listings: unclear photos, a missing licence number, a pet under 8 weeks, and so on. Fix it and send it for review again.
